Working with local schools

Tue, 04 September, 2018

The Seaview Downs Primary School recently commenced a project to design the additional 50+ (360 in total) car park bays that will be provided at the project’s completion. Students are looking into the engineering and design required to create car parks, whilst considering factors such as size of parks, environmental impacts and allowing space for future development.

During ‘Science Week’, Warradale Primary School students built bridges out of straws and masking tape. These bridges were then tested to see how much weight they could bear, providing students with insight into the engineering required for bridges, as well as different bridge designs.

Students from both schools then had the opportunity to come to the Oaklands Crossing project for a safety talk and site tour.

We think there may be some future engineers and excavator operators within the classes!
