Oaklands Crossing - trains running through the new Oaklands Railway Station
From Monday 6 May, the project celebrated as the Seaford line resumed to normal, and commuters were able to use the new Oaklands Railway Station.
Whilst the station is operational, parts of the station and access points remained closed as we finished components over the following weeks. Work zones were fenced off and then opened once completed.
The Warradale pedestrian and cyclist rail crossing is now open as a passive crossing, and in the following weeks opened as an activated crossing, along with the upgraded ones at Hove and Seventh Avenue.
Works progressed well with road upgrades, car park construction and landscaping works. Key work areas include the new right-hand turn lanes to continue along Morphett Road, Dunrobin and Diagonal roads and Railway Terrace.
Access was changing regularly, so signage was provided around the construction zones.
