PARADISE PARK ‘N’ RIDE PROJECT

The Paradise Park ‘n’ Ride Project is well on track despite the recent wet weather.

Progress update:

• The new bus entry and exit lanes between the interchange and Gameau Road are now complete and in operation.
• Significant works have been undertaken to manage local stormwater.
• Half of the kerbing is now complete, which will allow for vegetation planting in irrigated garden beds towards the end project.
• Electrical works continue to enable the installation of permanent lighting and CCTV cameras.

The third major concrete pour to form the car park deck was successfully undertaken on Wednesday, 6 May, with 220 cubic meters of concrete pumped and laid in this section. A large crane was also in place throughout the day to install pre-cast concrete panels. There is just one more large concrete pour to go!

Paving construction continues and a new, larger bike cage is planned to be installed in the coming months.
