The PTP Alliance is improving safety and efficiency by using robotic survey technology on the Ovingham Level Crossing Removal Project.

Robotic survey technology, such as the Tiny Surveyor, is controlled using high-precision GPS and uses a combination of technologies to map coordinates with millimetre accuracy. This technology improves the speed and accuracy of survey work and can also complete line marking up to 10 times faster than more traditional methods.

Robotic survey technology also improves safety on the project by allowing the PTP Alliance Survey Team to avoid working in busy construction areas or near live traffic.
