The project includes upgrades to the junction of Torrens and Churchill roads and a new overpass taking Torrens Road traffic up and over the Gawler rail line and national freight train line - significantly improving traffic flow for motorists and public transport users and creating a smoother, safer journey.

Work has also included creation of a new community plaza, bike lanes and a series of artworks – including some by local Aboriginal artists – which now feature prominently around the site.

As part of the project, the Ovingham Railway Station was also upgraded and re-opened at the end of 2022.Thank you for your patience and cooperation throughout construction on this project, which was jointly funded by the South Australian and Australian governments.
