Car park progress update

The Paradise Park ‘n’ Ride Project is well on track for completion this year, despite the recent wet weather.

Progress update:

· The new bus entry and exit lanes between the interchange and Gameau Road are now complete and in operation.

· Significant works have been undertaken to manage local stormwater.

· Half of the kerbing is now complete, which will allow for vegetation planting in irrigated garden beds towards the end project.

· Electrical works continue to enable the installation of permanent lighting and CCTV cameras.

The third major concrete pour to form the car park deck is planned for tomorrow, Wednesday, 6 May. A large crane will also be in use on Wednesday to install pre-cast concrete panels.

Paving construction continues and a new, larger bike cage is planned to be installed in the coming months.
