Oaklands Crossing - occupation progress
The project is 12 days into the three-week occupation.
The works kicked off Friday 12 April and have been going 24/7 since then. To date, the project has removed overhead line equipment, rail tracks, sleepers, ballast, earth material and started demolition of the old station. We also have crews continuing with the new station construction.
From Thursday 18 April, the rail team commenced installing ballast, sleepers and track to connect to the existing rail corridor.
The upgraded pedestrian and cyclist rail crossings are progressing well with three crews working across the sites at Hove, Warradale and Seventh Avenue.
The project would like to extend a big thank you to the local community for their patience as we go through the busiest time of the project.
