On Thursday, 17 March 2022, the Ovingham Level Crossing Removal Project team and fauNature ran a bird box building workshop with students from the Brompton Primary School.

James Smith from fauNature explained the importance of tree hollows in the ecosystem, and how bird boxes can provide a habitat for animals in areas where tree hollows are not available.

Having learned about the value of bird boxes, fauNature, the Public Transport Project Alliance team and students from the school worked together to build ten bird boxes which will be installed in trees around the new Torrens Road bridge.
