Armed with bin bags, gloves and tongs, students from Immaculate Heart of Mary and PTP Alliance staff collected rubbish in Bowden and Brompton’s local parks for Clean Up Australia Day. Rubbish was collected from Parfitt Square, Emu Park and Josiah Mitton Reserve.

Students gathered in nearby Josiah Mitton Reserve where the PTP Alliance’s Environmental and Sustainability Graduate, James, talked to the students about recycling and the processes of rubbish disposal.

Students then collected rubbish and hunted for the golden tickets the PTP Alliance had hidden. Those who found a ticket won a prize, which included a compost bin for the school.
